Ten Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) students were recognized during the Orange County Department of Education’s AVID Eighth Grade Standout Ceremony held May 7 at Angel Stadium. GGUSD is proud to announce that three GGUSD students were selected as Angels Scholars and awarded $10,000 in college scholarships. Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) students received college scholarship funds awarded by Endologix, a medical equipment manufacturer, which hosted a Science Fest Showcase and scholarship presentation on Thursday, April 12, at the company’s headquarters in Irvine. This was the second annual Science Fest Showcase, made possible through a unique partnership with GGUSD, Endologix, the Orange County United Way, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove.

Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) was named a 2018 California Exemplary District, a prestigious recognition awarded to only 22 school districts across the state by the California Department of Education. GGUSD Invites Applicants for Bond Oversight Committee

The Garden Grove Unified School District is seeking qualified volunteers to serve on the independent Bond Oversight Committee (BOC), tasked with overseeing lawful and appropriate expenditures of the district’s bond funds. The Committee meets several times each year to provide public scrutiny and accountability for use of funds from Measure A, the $250 million bond measure approved in 2010 and Measure P, the $311 million bond measure approved in November 2016. The Committee has an opening for an individual who has a business background as well as a senior citizen representative.
