Garden Grove Education Association Honors Five GGUSD Seniors With Scholarships

Five Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) high school seniors have been chosen as recipients of $2,000 scholarships thanks to the Garden Grove Education Association (GGEA) scholarship committee.

“GGUSD is dedicated to cultivating lifelong learners and these scholarships will help these students continue their education after high school,” said Dina Nguyen, Board of Education Trustee. “Thank you to GGEA for their continued support of our students inside the classroom and beyond.”

Evelyn Arredondo and Tran Nguyen of Garden Grove High School, Enid Elizalde and Tracy Tran of Santiago High School, and Abby Chavez of Pacifica High School are the recipients of the scholarships.

Abby Chavez was awarded the Arlene Pavey Scholarship, a new award intended for students interested in pursuing a career in education.
