The Garden Grove Unified School District Board of Education celebrated the district’s eleven Class of 2021 high school valedictorians during its Board of Education meeting on June 1 with a video spotlight of each of the accomplished scholars. La Quinta High School’s varsity esports club team, la pomme de terre, defeated the defending California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) champion Sunny Hills Lancers Gold team to win the California CIF League of Legends esports tournament earlier this month.
