GGUSD to Offer Free Summer Meals

The Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) is offering its annual free Summer Meal program to help ensure that children have access to nutritional meals when school is not in session. The program will provide free summer meals to GGUSD students at 15 school campuses and two library sites.

La Quinta Creative Writing Program Wins Prestigious Awards

The La Quinta High School Creative Writing Program won two awards at the 56th Annual California Student Media Festival. The festival, which exists to celebrate the amazing media and multimedia projects produced by California’s students and teachers, had more than 6,000 student contestants from schools across the state.

Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) students from the district’s seven comprehensive high schools are participating in a Choose Wellness campaign video contest with nearly $5,000 in cash prizes going to participating clubs. Students were encouraged to create videos that communicate the need to make mental health and wellness a priority and to end the stigma associated with getting help during a mental health crisis.
