Los Amigos High School Student Receives Statewide Recognition

Los Amigos High School Student Ashley Sotelo was presented with the “Every Student Succeeding” award on behalf of the Association of School Administrators (ACSA) Region 17.

Sotelo was presented with a certificate and medallion and recognized as a Student Superhero at a breakfast celebration sponsored by ACSA and Schools First Federal Credit Union on March 10th at Bowers Museum in Santa Ana.

The award honors students who triumph over adversity and inspire others. Sotelo was nominated by Los Amigos Assistant Principal Jared Fulton. She has earned a 4.09 grade point average, and has taken a wide range of rigorous courses. Additionally, she is an AVID student, participates in athletics, and is involved in her community.

“This is an exciting accomplishment to be recognized by California’s school administrators and we commend Ashley for the perseverance, and personal and academic success demonstrated to receive this award,” said GGUSD Board of Education Vice President Bob Harden.
