The Garden Grove Unified School District is hosting a Community Outreach Meeting for parents of preschoolers and kindergarteners on Monday, October 28 at 6:00 p.m. in the gymnasium at Los Amigos High School (16566 Newhope Street, Fountain Valley).

The program for the night is entitled The Power of Parents: “From Preschool to College” and will feature a presentation by a kindergarten teacher and a preschool administrator from GGUSD. The presenters will provide insight on preparing children for academic success at an early age, the importance of attendance, improving communication between home and school and how to nurture children’s education in the home. There will also be an opportunity for parents to ask questions.

Additionally, information will be available from partner community agencies, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove, community service programs, the Garden Grove Police Department, and Magnolia Family Resource Center.

The presentation will be in English with interpretation available for Spanish, Vietnamese, and Korean. The community and all family members are invited to the free workshop.
