GGUSD Honors Dedicated Employees for Years of Service

Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) honored nearly 550 employees for their years of service at the Annual Employee Recognition Program on December 5 at the district’s Don Wash Auditorium.  Three GGUSD employee received a special recognition for dedicating an impressive 45 years to the district, and one employee was honored for their 40 years of service.

"At GGUSD, we know that our success is a result of our dedicated employees who embody our values and contribute to our strong family culture," said Teri Rocco, Board of Education Vice President. "We are incredibly grateful for their continued dedication and service, and we look forward to many more years of working together to make a difference in our community."

The employees with 45 years of service are Hayden Marguerite, Instructional Aide at Hazard Elementary School; Elizabeth Flores, Special Education Instructional Aide at Rancho Alamitos High School; and Ruth Pruitt, Central Office Clerk I in Personnel Services. The employee recognized for 40 years of service is Ruben Escalera, Pool Maintenance Worker at Pacifica High School.

An outstanding group of 19 employees were honored for 35 years of service; 38 employees were honored for 30 years of service; and 132 employees were honored for 25 years of service. Hundreds of employees received pins for 10, 15, and 20 years of service.
