Student musicians representing all seven high school marching bands in Garden Grove Unified School District will be displaying their musical skills at the annual “Showcase of Bands” on Wednesday, November 16, at 6:00 p.m.
The colorful night of pageantry and family entertainment will feature field show performances by the individual bands and color guards at Bolsa Grande High School Stadium, 9401 Westminster Ave., Garden Grove.
Tickets for the exhibition are $7 each at the gate or can be purchased in advance for $5 from participating students and at the high schools. Children 12 years old and under are free.
“This is a wonderful event that celebrates our students’ musical talents and hard work,” said Linda Reed, Garden Grove Board of Education member. “The entire community enjoys coming together to enjoy the student performances.”
In addition to all seven high schools being represented, students representing McGarvin and Alamitos intermediate schools will perform the Star Spangled Banner.
Proceeds will be shared among the high school band programs. For more information, contact the high schools or the GGUSD Visual and Performing Arts department, (714) 663-6363.
