Project SAVI (Student Achievement through Video Integration) Video Academy
The goal of Project SAVI is to train and support teachers and their students in the creation of meaningful and curriculum-centered videos in order to increase student collaboration and problem-solving skills. Project SAVI was inspired by successful video integration projects still ongoing in other school districts like Escondidio Unified School District (Project LIVE) and by research conducted by Apple:
"Student use of technology impacts student achievement in four main areas: mastering fundamental skills, becoming proficient users of technology, preparing students with 21st century skills and motivating students to higher levels of achievement." ("Raising Student Achievement Through Technology." )
