Weekly Reopening Update - October 2, 2020
Dear Families,
As you know, the district continues to prepare for the return to in-person instruction and will soon share reopening dates.
To ensure families are prepared for school reopening, we encourage parents to attend one of our upcoming webinars on health and safety protocols and procedures. The webinars will be held Friday, October 9 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. or Thursday, October 15 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. District leaders will cover a variety of topics, including daily screening forms, bus safety procedures, mask protocols, indoor and outdoor safety measures, responding to illness on campus and more. Students are encouraged to attend the October 15 webinar. The webinar will be recorded and shared with all parents and students so that families know what to expect when schools reopen.
GGUSD teachers and school staff remain committed to equipping students with the academic and personal skills for lifelong success. This week, many schools hosted Virtual Back to School Nights to provide parents with important information about their child’s instructional day and to showcase the academic successes occurring in our distance learning classrooms. Districtwide, we continue to provide students and parent with a variety of online trainings aimed at supporting the academic growth of our students. The district continues to monitor COVID-19 rates for our school community each week. The Orange County Health Care Agency provides COVID-19 data on their dashboard. Orange County has maintained a positivity rate of 3.1% for four consecutive weeks. For the 10 zip codes we primarily serve, all but one (92704) are under 8%, with 7 of the zip codes being well under 5%- as low as 0.7% in 92708, and the 92840 zip code moving up for the first time to 7.2% after having been in the 3-6% range most of the summer.
As always, we remain committed to providing a safe learning environment for all students and staff when schools do reopen.

Como ustedes saben, el Distrito continúa preparándose para el regreso a la instrucción en persona y muy pronto compartirá las fechas de la reapertura.
Para asegurar que las familias estén preparadas para la reapertura de las escuelas, recomendamos a los padres de familia que asistan a uno de nuestros próximos seminarios web sobre los protocolos y procedimientos de la salud y la seguridad. Los maestros y el personal escolar del GGUSD siguen con el compromiso de equipar a los alumnos con las habilidades personales y académicas para que tengan éxito de por vida. Esta semana, muchas de las escuelas presentaron Noches Virtuales de Orientación para Padres (Virtual Back to School Nights) para proporcionar a los padres de familia información importante sobre el día de enseñanza de sus hijos y para mostrar el éxito académico que sucede en nuestros salones de clase de aprendizaje a distancia. En todo el Distrito, continuamos proporcionando a los alumnos y padres de familia una variedad de capacitaciones en línea que tienen el propósito de apoyar el crecimiento académico de nuestros alumnos. El Distrito continúa monitoreando cada semana los índices de COVID-19 de nuestra comunidad escolar. La Agencia para el Cuidado de la Salud del Condado de Orange proporciona los datos del COVID-19 en su tablero de datos. El Condado de Orange ha mantenido un índice positivamente de 3.1% por cuatro semanas consecutivas. De los 10 códigos postales que servimos principalmente, todos menos uno (92704) están bajo el 8% y 7 de los códigos postales están muy por debajo del 5%, tan bajo como 0.7% en 92708, y el código postal 92840 ascendió por primera vez al 7.2% después de haber estado en el rango de 3-6% durante la mayoría del verano.

Cập Nhật Hàng Tuần Về Việc Mở Trường Lại- Ngày 2 tháng 10, 2020

Như quý vị biết, học khu vẫn tiếp tục chuẩn bị cho việc trở lại giảng dạy ở trường và sẽ sớm thông báo cho quý vị biết ngày mở trường lại.
Nhằm giúp các gia đình chuẩn bị sẵn sàng khi trường mở lại, chúng tôi khuyến khích các phụ huynh tham dự một trong các buổi hướng dẫn trên mạng sắp đến để biết rõ các quy định và biện pháp nhằm bảo vệ sức khoẻ và giữ an toàn. Các buổi hướng dẫn trên mạng sẽ được tổ chức vào thứ sáu, ngày 9 tháng 10, từ 9:30 đến 11 sáng hay thứ năm, ngày 15 tháng 10, từ 5:30 chiều đến 7:00 tối. Các viên chức lãnh đạo học khu sẽ trình bày về nhiều đề tài khác nhau, bao gồm mẫu kiểm tra sức khoẻ hằng ngày, thể thức giữ an toàn khi đi xe buýt trường, quy định về khẩu trang, cách thức giữ an toàn trong lớp học và ngoài sân trường, cách ứng phó với việc nhiễm bệnh tại trường, và nhiều điều khác. Chúng tôi cũng khuyến khích các em học sinh tham dự buổi hướng dẫn trên mạng ngày 15 tháng 10. Buổi hướng dẫn sẽ được thu hình và phổ biến cho mọi phụ huynh và học sinh để các gia đình nắm vững những yêu cầu cần thực hiện khi trường mở lại.
Toàn thể giáo viên và nhân viên trường của GGUSD luôn quyết tâm trang bị cho học sinh kiến thức học vấn và năng lực cá nhân để thành công trên đường đời. Tuần này, nhiều trường đã tổ chức đêm Gặp Gỡ Giáo Viên Sau Ngày Tựu Trường (Back To School Nights) Trên Mạng để trình bày cho phụ huynh về những điều quan trọng trong ngày học của con em và giới thiệu những thành quả mà học sinh đã đạt được trong thời gian học trên mạng ở nhà.
Trong toàn học khu, chúng tôi tiếp tục tổ chức nhiều buổi hướng dẫn trên mạng dành cho phụ huynh và các em học sinh với mục đích hỗ trợ các em học hành tiến bộ. Học khu sẽ tổ chức buổi Giới Thiệu Các Trường Đại Học dành cho các học sinh lớp 11 và lớp 12 vào thứ hai, ngày 5 tháng 10. Bấm vào đây để xem tờ thông báo.
Hằng tuần, học khu vẫn theo dõi về tỷ lệ nhiễm COVID-19 cho cộng đồng trường chúng ta. Bảng báo cáo của Sở Y Tế Hạt Orange có đăng các dữ liệu về COVID-19. Tỷ lệ dương tính trong Hạt Orange vẫn giữ được ở mức 3.1% trong 4 tuần lễ liên tục. Trong 10 khu bưu chính học khu phục vụ, ngoại trừ khu bưu chính 92704, tất cả các khu còn lại đều có tỷ lệ dưới 8%, trong đó 7 khu bưu chính có tỷ lệ dưới 5% - rất thấp ở mức 0.7% trong khu bưu chính 92708, và tỷ lệ nhiễm bệnh trong khu bưu chính 92840 lần đầu tiên gia tăng đến 7.2% sau gần cả mùa hè ở mức 3 – 6%.
