GGUSD to Begin 5 Full Days of In-Person Instruction in the Fall
Dear Parents and Students,
We are happy to announce that all GGUSD schools will return to 5 full days of in-person instruction in the 2021-2022 school year. A “normal” 5-day schedule is possible due to updated K-12 Schools Guidance announced by the California Department of Public Health on March 20th, which altered the 4-6 feet of distance from the previous guidance of February 22. Three feet of physical distance between student desks is now recommended. CDPH’s new guidance aligns to the CDC’s update which reflects the latest science on physical distance between students in classrooms.
Under this new guidance, schools are examining the possibility of expanding their current hybrid schedules to provide increased hours of in-person instruction for the remainder of this school year. The expansion of in-person learning hours will be contingent upon the number of distance learning students as well as scheduling and staffing capacity at each school. Families who prefer a distance learning option in the Fall can apply for our district’s Virtual Learning Academy. Information regarding open enrollment for the Virtual Learning Academy will be shared in the weeks ahead.
In-person education is safe and classrooms are the best place for students to learn. Positive cases of COVID-19 remain low and isolated at all schools. GGUSD is using stringent health and safety protocols (temperature taking, masks, physical distancing, desk shields, hand washing, and more) – all of which are effectively working to create a safe environment for students and staff. Additionally, staff have been given the opportunity to be vaccinated, doing their part to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in their work place and in their community.
As we plan for the 2021-2022 school year, we will continue to follow guidance from the CDPH and OCHCA and modify our protocols based on the most current guidance.

El GGUSD comenzará la instrucción en persona de 5 días completos en el otoño
Estimados padres y estudiantes,
Nos complace anunciar que todas las escuelas de GGUSD volverán a recibir 5 días completos de instrucción en persona en el año escolar 2021-2022. Un horario "normal" de 5 días es posible debido a la Guía de escuelas K-12 actualizada anunciada por el Departamento de Salud Pública de California el 20 de marzo , que alteró los 4-6 pies de distancia de la guía anterior del 22 de febrero. Tres pies de ahora se recomienda la distancia, pero no se requiere si otros protocolos de mitigación de salud y seguridad están en vigor, que están en GGUSD. La nueva guía de CDPH se alinea con la actualización de los CDC que refleja la ciencia más reciente sobre la distancia física entre los estudiantes en las aulas.

Además, el personal ha tenido la oportunidad de vacunarse, haciendo su parte para prevenir la propagación del COVID-19 en su lugar de trabajo y en su comunidad.
Mientras planeamos para el año escolar 2021-2022, continuaremos siguiendo la guía del CDPH y OCHCA y modificaremos nuestros protocolos basados en la guía más actual.

Bắt Đầu Vào Mùa Thu GGUSD Sẽ Giảng Dạy Trọn 5 Ngày Trong Lớp

Chúng tôi rất vui mừng thông báo là tất cả các trường của GGUSD sẽ mở lại để giảng dạy trọn 5 ngày trong lớp vào niên khoá 2021-2022. Lịch học 5 ngày “thông thường” sẽ hoàn toàn khả thi dựa theo Hướng Dẫn Dành Cho Lớp Mẫu Giáo-12 do Bộ Y Tế California (CDPH) cập nhật và loan báo vào ngày 20 tháng 3, nhằm thay đổi quy định trước đó về khoảng cách an toàn từ 4-6 feet được ban hành ngày 22 tháng 2. Khoảng cách an toàn theo đề nghị hiện nay là 3 feet, tuy nhiên không bắt buộc nếu đã có những biện pháp y tế khác nhằm giảm thiểu nguy cơ và giữ an toàn, là điều đã được GGUSD thực hiện. Các hướng dẫn mới của CDPH đã theo đúng cập nhật của CDC và phản ảnh các chứng cứ khoa học mới nhất về khoảng cách an toàn giữa các học sinh trong lớp học.
Dựa theo quy định mới, các trường sẽ bắt đầu xem xét việc khai triển lịch trình học kết hợp hiện nay để tăng thêm giờ học trong lớp cho thời gian còn lại của niên học này. Việc tăng thêm giờ học trong lớp sẽ còn tuỳ thuộc vào số học sinh học trên mạng ở nhà cũng như thành phần nhân sự và sắp xếp lịch học tại từng trường. Mỗi trường sẽ thông báo thêm tin tức trong vài tuần nữa.
Những gia đình nào muốn con em học trên mạng tại nhà vào mùa thu có thể nộp đơn vào Trường Học Toàn Phần Trên Mạng (VLA). Các chi tiết liên quan đến việc ghi danh vào VLA sẽ được thông báo trong những tuần lễ tới.
Việc học trong lớp được xét là an toàn và lớp học là môi trường thích hợp nhất để học sinh học tập. Tỷ lệ nhiễm COVID-19 tại các trường vẫn thấp và là các trường hợp riêng biệt. GGUSD áp dụng các biện pháp y tế và giữ an toàn rất nghiêm ngặt (đo thân nhiệt, khẩu trang, khoảng cách an toàn, tấm ngăn bàn học, rửa tay, và nhiều điều khác)- tất cả rất hữu hiệu trong việc tạo dựng môi trường an toàn cho học sinh và nhân viên. Ngoài ra, các nhân viên có cơ hội được chích ngừa, góp phần ngăn ngừa COVID-19 lây lan trong cộng đồng và sở làm.
Trong khi hoạch định cho năm học 2021-2022, chúng tôi sẽ tiếp tục tuân theo các hướng dẫn của CDPH và OCHCA (Sở Y Tế Hạt Orange) và điều chỉnh các quy định của học khu dựa vào những hướng dẫn mới nhất.

GGUSD의 모든 학교가 2021-2022학년도에 주 5일제 대면 교육으로 복귀하게 될 것임을 알려드리게 되어 기쁩니다. 이는 지난 3월 20일 캘리포니아 공중보건부가 발표한 업데이트된 K-12 학교 지침이 기존 2월 22일 지침에서 4~6피트의 거리두기를 변경했기 때문에 '정상적인' 5일제 일정이 가능하게 된 것입니다. 이제 3피트의 거리두기가 권장되지만 GGUSD에 있는 다른 건강 및 안전 완화 행동지침이 적용되는 경우에는 필요하지 않습니다. CDPH의 새로운 지침은 교실에서 학생들 간 신체적 거리두기에 대한 최신 과학을 반영하는 CDC의 업데이트와 일치합니다.

2021-2022 학년도를 계획함에 있어 CDPH 및 OCHCA의 지침을 계속 준수하고 최신 지침에 따라 행동지침을 수정할 것입니다.
