Dear Parents,
We wanted to share with you the attached document, “GGUSD COVID-19 Response Plan for Parents” which provides answers to common questions from parents and students regarding distance learning. The document also shares district resources meant to support families during this unprecedented time in education. Please review the document to ensure you are taking advantage of all available resources. Additionally, last week, we sent you our document “GGUSD COVID-19 Response Plan for Students” which we hope is serving as a valuable resource for your child(ren). As the school year comes to a close, you may be asking yourself, “what will happen next year?” While the Governor and State Department of Education have indicated that students will most likely return to in-person school in the Fall, they have also advised us that, depending on the status of the pandemic, the return might be very different from our usual school practices. Exactly what that means is still being determined but we have been busy looking into all of the possible aspects of a return, depending on state and county directives in relation to COVID-19. Soon, each family will receive a survey that will help us develop options to meet your needs and we will be sharing that information with parents and students throughout the next few months in preparation for the 2020-2021 school year.

Estimados padres de familia:
Queremos compartir con ustedes el documento adjunto, el “Plan integral del GGUSD para padres de familia sobre cómo responder durante el COVID-19”, el cual proporciona respuestas a preguntas comunes de padres de familia y alumnos sobre el aprendizaje a distancia.
El documento también comparte recursos del Distrito destinados a apoyar a las familias durante este tiempo sin precedentes en la educación. Por favor revisen el documento para asegurarse de que están aprovechando todos los recursos disponibles. Adicionalmente, la semana pasada, les mandamos nuestro documento “Plan integral del GGUSD para los alumnos sobre cómo responder durante el COVID-19”, el cual esperamos les sirva como un recurso valioso para sus hijos. A medida que el año escolar llega a su fin, tal vez ustedes se están preguntando a sí mismos, “¿qué pasará el próximo año escolar?” Aunque el Gobernador y el Departamento de Educación han indicado que es muy probable que los alumnos regresarán a la escuela en persona en el otoño, ellos también nos han informado que, dependiendo del estado de la pandemia, el regreso podría ser muy diferente de nuestras prácticas escolares habituales. Todavía se está determinando exactamente lo que eso significa, pero hemos estado ocupados investigando todos los aspectos posibles de un regreso, dependiendo de las directivas estatales y del condado en relación con el COVID-19. Muy pronto, cada familia recibirá una encuesta que nos ayudará a desarrollar opciones para satisfacer sus necesidades, y compartiremos esa información con los padres de familia y los alumnos durante los próximos meses en preparación para el año escolar 2020-2021.

Chúng tôi muốn chia sẻ cùng quý vị tài liệu đính kèm: “Kế Hoạch Ứng Phó COVID-19 của GGUSD dành cho Phụ Huynh” để giải đáp những thắc mắc chung của phụ huynh và học sinh trong thời gian học tại nhà. Tài liệu này cũng cung cấp những nguồn hỗ trợ của học khu để trợ giúp các gia đình trong giai đoạn học tập chưa từng thấy như hiện nay. Mong quý vị xem qua tài liệu này để tận dụng mọi nguồn hỗ trợ hiện có. Khi năm học gần đến lúc kết thúc, quý vị có thể tự hỏi: “Năm tới sẽ ra sao?” Mặc dầu Thống Đốc và Bộ Giáo Dục Tiểu Bang cho biết học sinh rất có thể sẽ quay lại trường học vào mùa thu, họ cũng cho biết rằng việc này có thể tiến hành khác với những cách thức thông thường tuỳ vào diễn biến của dịch bệnh. Điều này chính xác nghĩa là gì thì còn đang được xem xét lại, nhưng chúng tôi đang bận rộn tìm kiếm mọi giải pháp khả thi khi học sinh trở lại trường, tuỳ vào các chỉ thị của tiểu bang và quận hạt liên quan đến COVID-19. Trong nay mai mỗi gia đình sẽ nhận một bản thăm dò ý kiến để quý vị giúp chúng tôi hoạch định các giải pháp nhằm đáp ứng các nhu cầu của quý vị và chúng tôi sẽ chia sẻ những thông tin này với phụ huynh và học sinh trong những tháng tới để chuẩn bị cho năm học 2020-2021.
Chúng tôi vẫn tiếp tục quyết tâm trang bị cho các học sinh năng lực học tập và cá nhân cần thiết để thành công trên đường đời. Đó là Đường Hướng Garden Grove!
