Brent Duron

Classified

Brent joined the district in 2009 as a substitute delivery driver for one year and then as a delivery truck driver from 20110-2014. From 2014-2016, he served as Stock Clerk II and since 2016, he has been serving in his current role as Warehouse Supervisor. Brent was nominated for this recognition by a staff member who said Brent goes the extra mile to ensure district departments and schools have the supplies they need to operate effectively! Brent is known by his colleagues to have a positive, can-do attitude. He is always willing and ready to help, super responsive and extremely accommodating. Throughout the district, Brent is known for his outstanding customer service and exceptional work ethic! Congratulations Brent on this well-deserved recognition and thank you for all you do to support the district!

Roben Alarcon

Roben joined the district in 1998 serving as a fourth and fifth grade teacher at Mitchell Elementary School until 2002 when she moved to Eisenhower where she has taught kindergarten, first, third and currently fourth grade. Roben was nominated for this award by a staff member who said Roben is one of the best teachers she has ever known and always knows exactly what each student needs academically and emotionally. Roben is well-respected by staff and well-loved by her students. In addition to working magic in the classroom, Roben gives of her time generously, creating and teaching dances for the Disney musicals, previously serving as Pentahtlon coach, and spearheading a Christmas toy collection for families in needs. Congratulations to Roben on this well-deserved honor and for all you do to support GGUSD students!
