School Closures due to Chemical Leak

At the direction of law enforcement and emergency response officials, several Garden Grove Unified campuses will be closed today due to ongoing containment efforts related to the industrial chemical leak in the area last night.
The following schools will be closed until further notice:

Barker Elementary School
Bryant
Carver
Enders Elementary School
Garden Park
Lawrence Elementary School
Wakeham Elementary School
Patton Elementary School
Bell Intermediate School
Alamitos Intermediate
Pacifica High School
Rancho Alamitos High School
Skylark Preschool
Maintenance and Operations Facility
Lampson Bus Yard

Emergency responders are currently evacuating a mile radius surrounding the area of Chapman Avenue and Western Avenue as crews continue working to safely contain the incident.

The safety of our students, staff, and families remains our top priority. We will continue to remain in close communication with local authorities and will provide updates as additional information becomes available.
