Garden Grove Unified School District is opening four new Family Resource Centers (FRCs) to serve as hubs for families and students across the district to access critical services in areas like food, health care, housing, mental health counseling, immigration counseling, victim assistance, and more.

In August of 2017, GGUSD opened its first Family Resource Center, named the Lloyd M. Stone Family Resource Center, located on the Clinton Mendenall Campus, 13611 Clinton Street in Garden Grove. The expansion of four new Family Resource Centers, will allow the district to significantly increase the level of assistance and care available to GGUSD families.

“For the last five years, our Family Resource Center staff have engaged in meaningful, life-changing work to connect families to the help they need most,” said Teri Rocco, Board of Education Trustee.  “This expansion is a natural next step in a district our size to ensure that each and every family can easily find help when they need it.”

In February and March, GGUSD Board of Education members will cut a ceremonial ribbon at each of the four new FRCs which will be located at Brookhurst Elementary School, Bryant Arts Academy, Fitz Intermediate Computer Science Academy and Irvine Intermediate School.
