Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) high schools are offering free and discounted ACT and SAT Prep Courses to all eleventh grade students beginning in January. Registration for the prep courses begins in November.

To offer the ACT and SAT Prep Courses, GGUSD partnered with Revolution Prep, a leading education company with trusted strategies to help students improve their scores on high-stakes exams and achieve greater academic success.  Typically, these courses cost parents a minimum of $700, but GGUSD will cover the majority of cost per student, and parents will pay only $50! Additionally, free and reduced rates are available for income-eligible students based on their free and reduced meal status.  The ACT and SAT exams are administered in the spring.

“We encourage eleventh grade students to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to prepare for these rigorous college entrance exams which play a critical role in college acceptance and scholarships,” said Dina Nguyen, Board of Education trustee.  “This is a great opportunity for students to receive personalized coaching and reach their goals on these important tests.”

Through the program, students can attend SAT/ACT classes, receive coaching on A+ habits, receive tutoring, and unlimited homework help.  Revolution Prep also touts a longstanding record of success stating that Revolution Prep students typically see an average increase of 120 points on the SAT and 3 points on the ACT.

Interested students should contact their high school counselor to register.  For more information, contact the Office of 7-12 Instruction at 714-663-6454.
