Two students receiving recognition by local masons.

Twenty students from Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) were honored by the local masons during a special awards ceremony on Wednesday, April 26. Students who received the awards were honored for being dauntless in the face of adversity. The event was held at the Garden Grove Masonic Lodge No. 351, 11270 Acacia Parkway in Garden Grove.

“We are thankful for the continued support we receive from our local masonic lodge,” said Bob Harden, GGUSD Board of Education vice president. “We appreciate their shared value of education and service to our community.”

The masons recognize students from GGUSD each year as part of the group’s yearly observance of public schools. Public Schools Month was launched by the Free and Accepted Masons of California in 1920.
