GGUSD Honors More than 700 Employees for Years of Service

Employees and their families celebrating years of service.

Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) honored 702 employees for their years of service at the 30th Annual Employee Recognition Program on December 5 at the Garden Grove Community Center.  Two GGUSD employees received a special recognition for dedicating 40 years to the district.  The two employees with 40 years of service are Louise Gustafson, a teacher at Lincoln Education Center and Jimmy Faucett, an HVAC Technician II at Maintenance and Operations.

Another 12 employees will be honored for 35 years of service and 27 employees will be recognized for 30 years of service.

“Garden Grove Unified School District has always experienced a high level of longevity from our employees and we look forward to honoring these longtime employees for their outstanding service to our district,” said Lan Nguyen, Board of Education president.  “We are proud of our amazing workplace culture that leads to an incredible number of people dedicating their entire career to GGUSD.”

The Employee Recognition Program will also recognize hundreds of employees with 10, 15, 20, and 25 years of service.
