HOMEGROWN
Homegrown employees are those who attended schools in the district as students before returning to work in the district as employees. The “GGUSD Homegrown” campaign has already garnered interest from nearly 500 employees who shared their stories through an online form. Some of these stories will be spotlighted on the district’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram social media accounts.

Andy Dang
Andy Dang is #GGUSDHomegrown.
Andy attended Heritage, Murdy, and Stanley elementary schools, Ralston Intermediate and graduated from Garden Grove High School in 2003. He is currently a Network Analyst of Information Technology Department.
“Right after military service which ended in 2008, I considered GGUSD as my second home. The culture, staff, and students really make this organization a unique and special place to work. I am really happy to be able to give back to the community I grew up in. It is a sense of pride and honor for me to contribute to the present and future of GGUSD.”
He has been with GGUSD since 2008. He has also worked as a School Community Liaison at Rancho Alamitos and a Computer Resource Assistant at Bolsa Grande. Andy's wife, who he met in college, attended Irvine Intermediate and graduated from Rancho.
