February 2026 Employees of the Month
GGUSD’s Employee of the Month program is designed to recognize employees who: put others first; go above and beyond to make a difference in their role; carry out each day with a positive attitude and strong work ethic and demonstrate innovation, leadership, and passion for their job.
Jackie Novak
Our Certificated Employee of the Month is Jackie Novak. Jackie joined the district in 2003, serving as a teacher at Rosita Elementary until 2022, when she transitioned to Carrillo Elementary, where she continues to teach today. Jackie was nominated for this recognition by both a parent and a student. The parent shared that Jackie is patient and kind with all students and demonstrates exceptional teaching skills. A student echoed these sentiments, noting that Ms. Novak’s kindness and effective teaching help students strengthen their skills and improve test performance. The student also shared that she is always finding new and fun ways to motivate students and support their success at school. Jackie’s dedication to her students and her passion for teaching make a lasting impact on her school community each and every day.
Sueannie Baltazar
Our Classified Employee of the Month is Sueannie Baltazar. Sueannie joined the district in 2019 working as a Health Assistant at Walton until 2023 when she advanced to her current role as central office clerk II for the Office of 7-12 Instruction. Sueannie was nominated for this award by colleagues who truly appreciate her exceptional customer service and the care she brings to every interaction. She consistently supports the Office of Instruction team and our TOSAs with professionalism, kindness, and a can-do attitude, making everyone feel welcomed and supported. From staff to every parent and visitor who walks through the annex, Sueannie goes above and beyond to ensure people feel heard, helped, and valued. She does all of this with genuine humility, always putting the needs of others first and never seeking recognition for the difference she makes every day.
