Preschool, TK and Kindergarten


Children born between September 2, 2019 and December 1, 2020 are eligible to enroll in preschool for the 2023-2024 school year.

  • State Preschool

    Our Free State Preschool Program is offered at Clinton Corner Family Campus and 10 elementary school campuses across the district and offers morning and afternoon sessions for income-qualifying families. In the state preschool program, students enjoy 3 hours per day (morning or afternoon sessions) of engaged learning with highly-qualified teachers. Our focus on early literacy coupled with interactive play in a caring environment prepares students for kindergarten.   • Low-Cost Preschool

    Our Low-Cost Preschool Program at Skylark is offered for all families who are not income-eligible for the state’s free preschool program. Using the same focus on academic instruction and interactive play, students benefit from a full day program including music, Spanish, and STEAM enrichments. Spanish Dual Immersion Preschool

GGUSD is opening its first Spanish Dual Immersion Preschool Program at Russell Elementary Language Academy in the 2023-2024 school year! The program is free and designed especially for families interested in a Spanish dual immersion experience. Preschool sessions are 3 hours, offered in both the morning and afternoon. The program includes:

  • Small class sizes (1 teacher or aide per 8 students)
  • Caring teachers and staff provide a nurturing learning environment
  • Focus on TK/K readiness skills
  • Priority enrollment into Russell Elementary Language Academy for transitional kindergarten.

Transitional Kindergarten

New in 2023-2024, we will offer transitional kindergarten at all of our award-winning elementary schools for all children born between 9/2/2018 and 9/1/2019.

Transitional kindergarten has a modified curriculum that is age appropriate, giving children an extra year of learning and a strong foundation for success in school.
