Garden Grove Unified School District Offers Low-Cost ACT/SAT Prep Courses

GGUSD

Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) offers low-cost Princeton Review SAT and ACT preparation courses to eleventh grade students who attend the district’s seven comprehensive high schools.

The district has enjoyed a longstanding partnership with Princeton Review for eleven years to bring these preparation courses to students at their high school campuses.  The courses prepare students for the SAT exam administered in March and the ACT exam administered in April.  Courses begin in January and dates/times vary by school site.

“We are deeply invested in ensuring that students are set up for success as they navigate through all of the hard work involved in applying for college,” said Lan Nguyen, Board of Education vice president.  “SAT and ACT scores have a profound impact on the future of our students and we want them to have every tool possible to reach their full potential.”

The district covers a portion of the $118 Princeton Review course fee and offers it to students at a discounted rate of $50.  Students can register for either the SAT or ACT prep class at a cost of $50.  If they choose to take both classes, the entire cost of the second class ($118) will be covered by the student.

Each course includes classroom lectures and several full length practice exams.  Students who take the preparation course will gain skills and confidence to achieve their best score on important college admissions tests.

Students who are interested in signing up for a Princeton Review course should contact their school’s Guidance Counselor at the beginning of January.
