Twenty students from Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) were honored by the local Garden Grove Masons during a special Public Schools Night awards ceremony on Wednesday, April 25 at 6:00 p.m.  Students were recognized for demonstrating determination and remaining dauntless in the face of adversity.  The event was held at the Garden Grove Masonic Lodge No. 351, 11270 Acacia Parkway in Garden Grove.

“We appreciate the support of the local masons and their thoughtfulness in recognizing students for demonstrating important life skills like grit and determination,” said Bob Harden, GGUSD Board of Education president.

The masons recognize students from Garden Grove Unified School District each year as part of the group’s yearly observance of public schools.  Public Schools Month was launched by the Free and Accepted Masons of California in 1920.
